Mr. & Mrs. Fish Come to Great Falls!

 Today the second grade classes had the pleasure of hosting Mr. & Mrs. Fish at Great Falls school! We saw an hour-long presentation all about the tide pool animals, which was filmed for "Bill Green's Maine"! Mr. & Mrs. Fish are retiring and Bill Green wanted to feature them on his show to celebrate all they have done to teach children about our oceans!  The segment will be shown on Saturday, November 4 at 7 pm on WCSH Channel 6!

Silly Socks and Crazy Hats!

Many thanks for all of the sock donations for SOCKTOBER!  We raised over 1,000 pairs to donate! The Gorham Food Pantry will be excited to have our canned food donations too!  We had fun with our crazy hats and socks to celebrate SOCKTOBER!

Hands-on desert learning!

Many thanks to Dexter's family for sharing their rattlesnake model with our class today.  We even got to touch him! He came straight from the Arizona desert and is happy to be in our classroom for the week. 

 

Playground helpers

Check out these fabulous playground helpers! Each day at recess, they put on their gloves, grab a bag, and pick up trash on our playground. Great job, second graders! Thank you for taking care of our world! 🌏♽♡

Our Kindergarten Reading Buddies

Every Friday, we join our friends in Ms. Simpson's kindergarten class for some reading time. We love it! We bring our favorite books to read, and soon the kindergarten friends will be reading to US.  We'll be having fun with them all year long!
